Dido, don't think of me!

I’ve firstly heard this song long-long ago when I ‘d been in the high school, but suddenly this song inspired me now.

I don’t know exactly what Dido means through this song, but I catch a feeling of a woman whose husband or boyfriend had an affair and choosed to left her after spending some times with her, and she knows the fact that, this woman has an affair with his best friend, recently.

Hmmm… this song happens here, around me, and the woman tells everythings to me…. I don’t know what to act, but I know the things that :

Malaysia : TKI’s Life is so Cheap here…

Paying attention to the news that 2 TKI  (Indonesian migrant workers)  dead  in malaysia, everyday!

The number of  Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) that invaded Malaysia to hunt ringgit  should get more attention from the government. Averagely,  700 people die in Malaysia every year.

Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia has a sum of 1.2 million, mostly in the informal sector, such as oil palm plantation workers, construction workers and domestic servants. Among that amount, between 400-700 workers die every year. This means that every month there are 58 workers died, or about two people every day.

INDONESIAN MIGRANT WORKER

According to Indonesian Embassy, they died by various reasons,  work accidents, traffic accidents, illness and so forth.

Although Embassy said that they promised guarantee of the safety of all workers in Malaysia, both official and illegal, this data can not be easily ignored. The guarantee that’s essential to any rights that harm workers must be fulfilled. Moreover, each day an average of 1000 workers complained to the Embassy about the problems that befall them. And…. what? Nothing was done by the Embassy. They just collect the complains and throw them to the trash bin away!

So, how cheap the live is?

For Indonesian government I just could say: SAVE TKI’S LIVE, just take your action, No Talkative!!!

For TKI : RA USAH NANG MALAYSIA DEK, MBAK, BU, KANG, CAK, PAK! LUWEH PENAK KERJO NANG OMAH KONO, LEK ENEK SAWAH YO MACULO, RA ENEK SAWAH YO ISO GAWE USAHA DEWE, OJO GOLEK MATI NANG MALAYSIA, NYAWAMU GOR SIJI!

WE HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE IN THIS WORLD. No matter how rich you are, none will sell their life for you. So, keep it dude!

Left-Right Brain Test

TIME! OH.. TIME!

What year is it dude? Yeah, 2009! So what?

Last night I watched a holywood film titled ” The Twelve Monkeys” on transtv, my favourite Indonesian tv. This film was made at 1995. Guess what? Read this: In 1996-1997, the Earth’s surface was contaminated by a virus so deadly that it forced the surviving population to live underground. Wow! It’s 12 years ago man.. 1997 is just the past! Not the future anymore.

This film was inspired by the French short film La Jetée (1962) setted it’s time on 2035 ( You think this year is far enough from now, but let’s see, you’ll soon wake up at 11:45 pm, and feel 2009 is just “yesterday”, then you decide to go out, you see the big poster: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2036.. ahhh- you can write a comment on thist post then, if this truely happen next ).

The film depicts a future world devastated by disease, forcing the human population to live underground. Convict James Cole (Willis) “volunteers” for time travel duty to gather information in exchange for prison release. When he first arrives in the past, Cole is arrested and locked up in a psychiatric hospital, where he meets Dr. Kathryn Railly (Stowe), a psychiatrist, and Jeffrey Goines (Pitt), the insane son of a scientist and virus expert.

I will ignore all other sci-fi components in this film and concentrate to one point: TIME! The principle of the time machine is still in the “imposible area” though, teoritically, it’s easily formulated.

Idulfitri, Lebaran, and the Fresh Inspired Soul

Talking about the inspired words, it’s not just merely the short listed one. Starting from this day, I will write special article for your inspiration dude! So check it out!

I write this article at the last day of fasting month (ramadhan) here, in Indonesia. For your acknowledgement, I am a villager, I was born at Selorejo village (uniquely here, there was a number “52″ referred to this village, many people say that, this is the representation of  “bedeng” number assigned for the place of migrated java people, during netherland imperialism), in the east of Lampung, the eastest province of Sumatra island.  So, I know precisely what the “mudik” impact is..

There are many things we (Indonesian) feel these days. Tomorrow will be the great day, we call it “lebaran”. If you are an American, you can imagine my country’s situation like your ”happy holidays, merry christmas and happy new year” days. Every end of year, you celebrate it. These days are the longest holidays among the year. So do we do these days.

We have a tradition called “mudik” when the urbans went back to their each origin villages to make the relationship ritual called “silaturrahim”. It’s the moment when the son met his parents for asking the forgivenes from each other. They want to clean, to purify their heart from the sins after a month fasting ritual by forgiving the mistakes ones to other. Yeah.. it’s heart touching dude! Sometimes, some persons, especially womans, cried out load, begging for the forgiveness from the others. I’m sure, pretily sure, you won’t find this tradition elsewhere in the world!

Basicly, this tradition was based on the Islamic Idulfitri day, but then it’s costumized by local influence. So, lebaran is unique. Lebaran is not merely Idulfitri. This day is the day when many people rethinking about their past and replanning, reconfiguring for the better next. This day is the day when the lost sons coming back to their mom and dead.

But, this day also full of the ironic things. Just a glance example is the exibition show of urban workers. They use every effort to show their prestige to their homy vilagers! Sometimes, their “ a whole year salary” spent out just for this prestige show. How ironic!

But, from the whole history, we can see then, that everyone of us need the “refresh” for the soul in our live, just like windows desktop LOL… It’s necessarily important to upgrade our brain, to “clean install the windows” and to “ reinstall all necessary software” in order for us to be free from the “viruses” and “worms”. So, the possibility of appearance of the “hang” and “blue screen” death can be reduced.

So, then what? Nothing! I just want to say to all moslem all around the world:
